Chapel: It is our greatest desire that all students make a decision for Christ. Knowing this, Whittier Christian Junior High is dedicated to making the chapel experience a meaningful one. We want to present the plan of salvation in many different ways so that every Junior Higher may be reached. Beyond this we want to create an atmosphere in which students grow in the Lord and learn to put Him first in their lives.

Athletics: Whittier Christian Junior High has a strong athletic program with many opportunities for students to excel! We compete in the Christian School League which is made up of six Christian Schools in the Southern California area.  The athletic programs are an extension of the academic and physical education programs. The main purpose is to develop the physical, emotional, and scholastic advancement of the student, as well as, to allow those who are team members to excel in the different sports. Participation is a privilege for those who show the ability and have the right attitude. Fair play and sportsmanship are high priorities to the program as our main goal is to honor God in whatever we do!

Music: Music is an important part of a young person’s education. It is especially true in our school where the youth are learning of their Christian  heritage which is intertwined with melody and song.

Choir: "Rejoice," Whittier Christian Choir, is a group of young ladies and men who sing with melody in their hearts. They meet two days a week to practice and prepare for their perform.

School Activities: We have a multitude of school activities that make the school year a success. Parent-Teacher Conferences, Visitor’s Days, Open House, 8th Grade Graduation Banquet, Chapels, Spirit Weeks, Sports Nights and Assemblies.

Renaissance Program: Renaissance is a nationwide program that strives to promote and achieve academic excellence in schools. Its main function is to increase academic standards. Its primary purpose is to recognize and reward student achievement and to encourage and reward improvement in academics, behavior, and attendance. We realize that a student’s academic future begins NOW! Why wait until high school, when it may be too late to help a student appreciate school, enjoy hard work, and strive to improve.
