PHYSICAL EDUCATION:  WCS has a physical education program that promotes physical fitness, recreation and social interaction. Our curriculum uses the Presidential Physical Fitness guidelines while teaching that fitness can be fun.  We offer after school sports programs for our 5th and 6th grade students.  These teams participate in games and tournaments with other Christian schools in our area.  The after-school sports offered are:  Football and basketball for boys and basketball and volleyball for girls.
MUSIC:  All classes have classroom music each week. The children learn music theory, ear training, the use of rhythmic instruments and creative movement.  The students prepare and present two special musicals each year at the La Mirada Civic Theater.
LIBRARY:  Every child in the school has access to the library. The librarian teaches the Dewey Decimal System, card file use, use of reference books, use of the internet for research and proper care and treatment of books. There are 12,000 books in the WCS library.
COMPUTERS:  WCS believes in equipping our students to function in a  technical society. All students from Kindergarten to Sixth grade learn keyboarding and computing as well as use of educational software that corresponds with their classroom learning. We emphasize the importance of computers and technology in everyday life.
