NEW!  On January 5, 2010, our Newlin Campus began accepting 2 year olds who are NOT potty trained yet and will work with you to help train your child.   An extra fee applies for this class.

Finding the best Preschool takes work!  You want a safe, secure environment with loving qualified staff, great facilities and play areas, and a good balance between developmental and academic curriculum, centered around God's Word.  You want your child ready to meet the adventures that await them at elementary school. 

Preschool education is an investment, financially and emotionally. It’s an investment of time, love, and money. From the time your child is born, the investment choices you make begin to mold their character and their future. Whittier Christian Schools offer two such Preschools that help you establish a solid foundation for your child. 

By attending one of our WCS Preschool campuses, your child will have the added advantage of attending Preschool on the same site as Whittier Christian Elementary Campuses, which helps to provide a smooth, familiar transition to Kindergarten. 

Whittier Christian Schools offers Preschool care from 7:00 a.m. - 6: 00 p.m.  Half-day and full day pricing plans are available.  Year round or school term enrollment.  

WCS Preschools?

Whittier Christian Preschool exists first and foremost to introduce little children to Jesus in an atmosphere that is warm, loving, fun, and instructional.

WCS Preschool has grown from a sincere love for children and our commitment to help families to raise their children to be ones who love the Lord and are prepared educationally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually to meet the challenges that are ahead of them.

We believe that our Preschools provide an environment that is safe and conducive to good health and where children can work, play, and learn together while being guided toward a happy, wholesome development.

A Day at WCS Preschool

The program consists of both indoor and outdoor activities, alternating active and quiet play and learning time with snack and rest time.

We explore music, science, cooking, Bible stories and verses, as well as letters, numbers, colors, shapes and so much more. There are rest and nutrition breaks during the day.

Curriculum is developmentally solid, age-appropriate, Christ-centered, and revolves around a monthly theme.

All Whittier Christian School campuses have on-site hot lunch programs. Meals sized for preschool children are available for an appropriate additional cost.

Our Students

Children who are at least 2 years of age (and potty-trained) through Pre-K are eligible to participate in WCS Preschools.

Our Staff

Our staff are here to train, love and care for your child. The teachers will strive to provide a Christian atmosphere of love that comes from their own personal relationship to Christ, along with a developmentally sound curriculum.

All WCS Preschool staff have completed infant/child CPR and first aid training, are fingerprinted and have a Child Abuse Index clearance. They have training and coursework in Early Childhood Education which meets or exceeds requirements set forth by Whittier Christian School and the State of California.

Our Preschool Campuses

Great new playgrounds await your little ones. Tricycles, room  to play ball, and climbing equipment help children grow strong.  We'll provide colorful classrooms, lots of toys, puzzles and guided activities in appropriately sized classroom settings.  

Bright, cheerful rooms filled with learning experienced will help to stimulate your child’s learning and exploring.  Small and large motor skills are developed along with social skills as we strive to nurture the whole child.  Children attend CHAPEL TIME each week as we teach them about God's love for them.
