DR. DEAN ORTNER has had a career in science second to none. He has presented science demonstrations for the Congress, for Generals at the Pentagon, at the Olympics in Atlanta, and at schools, colleges, and military bases throughout the country.

Formerly of Moody’s Sermons From Science, Dr. Ortner has a quick and witty approach to the wonders of science that will spark your interest in new ways.

Dr. Ortner chairs the science department for the elementary and junior high programs as well as teach. Additionally, he continues to share the gospel through use of the Wonders of Science program during the school year on a limited basis and on summer tour.

Mayor's Award


Civil Service Medal Dean received the Outstanding Civil Service Medal for his work at the Pentagon.  His medal is #032 which means that there have only been 32 medals awarded since the first one that was given by George Washington. 

Recently he has also received the City of Whittier Mayor's Award in recognition of the medal.
